I Dreamed a Dream

Today, I want to share with you a dream I had, that has stayed with me since it happened.

Early one morning about one month ago, I was awakened out of my sleep and the moment I awakened, God began to explain to me what the dream meant.

In this dream, I was suspended in the air overlooking a church full of people worshipping and praising God.  The people I saw were dressed in their Sunday Best, hands lifted and voices singing; but as I looked closer, I could see through their outer garments.  What I saw beneath the clothing, behind the harmonic sound of their voices; were people who had unhealed wounds from life experiences. I saw people wrapped in bandages, with broken limbs and broken hearts.  I saw some with missing limbs and others intoxicated by the emotions of their past.  I saw some having blood oozing out of open wounds; some in wheelchairs and others on crutches.  I saw some lying on beds.  Some blind and some deaf.  As I sat pondering what was happening, I asked the Lord, what did it mean and as He began to explain to me, my heart became heavy.

He spoke to me and said, “They represent the condition of My people. They represent the people who enter church services weekly. On the outside they look like everything is fine.  Their families appear to be intact; their marriages appear to be great.  Everything seems to be in order; however, on the inside they are bleeding, hurting, and distressed, damaged, handicap, wounded, decapitated and maimed.  Their hearts are broken, emotions are damaged, and they carry the scent of the abused. They are coming to me acting like everything is ok.  They are making my Word appear to the world as “not effective” and until they come to terms with what has happened in their lives that caused them to be in this condition, they will never move forward.  They will never be healed. They will remain in that condition. They will die waiting for their deliverance, becoming their own stumbling block.”

He reminded me of something Jesus said in Luke 4:18

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised”

“They must return to the Word.  Preachers must return to preaching the Gospel of Christ.  Their faith must be restored.  Faith in My Word will change their condition. They must get back to where they first believed.  The foot of the Cross…There they will find healing for their soul.  There, stagnate water will be replaced with “wells of water springing up” unto life.  There, they will find answers to the whys.  They’ll be healed.  Their wounds will be cleaned out and the healing process will begin.  The Blood will be applied and when they repent they will be forgiven and set free.”

The World is waiting to see the effectiveness of the Gospel in the Church, but all they see is scandal upon scandal and dead people.  It’s time to Arise Church and turn back to your First Love.  It’s time to be healed and made whole.  There is work to do and the harvest is ready to be harvested.

Be Blessed!
